Skeleton Tree, the sixth studio album and the first in three years from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds is to be released the day after a film about its recording.

Directed by Andrew Dominik, One More Time With Feeling will be screened in more than 650 cinemas across the world for one night only on 8 September – with the album out on the following day.

Dominik – who directed films like Chopper and Killing Them Softly – delves into the tragic backdrop of the writing and recording of the album.

Last year, Cave’s 15-year-old son Arthur died after falling from a cliff in Brighton.
