Djokovic lost in last years final
Novak Djokovic reached the quarter-finals of the US Open after the third seed beat Spain's Tommy Robredo 4-6 6-2 6-3 5-7 6-3.
The Serbian had been struggling with a stomach upset prior to the game, and it looked to be hampering his performance as he lost the first-set 4-6.
He came back extremely strongly in the next two sets, winning 6-2 and 6-3, but faltered in the fourth as Robredo drew level after some glaring errors by Djokovic.
The 21-year-old, who lost in last years final to Roger Federer, fought back in the final set however and will now progress to play either Andy Roddick or Fernando Gonzalez in the last eight.
