Former Wimbledon champion Lleyton Hewitt has backed Andy Murray to beat Andy Roddick in Friday's semi-final.
The Australian fell to Roddick on court one on Thursday after a marathon five-set thriller but said he still believes world number three Murray has the ability to reach his first Wimbledon final.
"I think it's going to be a tough one for Roddick to win," said the former world number one.
"When I've seen Andy Murray at his best, I think he matches up extremely well against Roddick. It's going to be an interesting match."
Hewitt, 28, added: "A couple of years ago I saw them play here because they were in my section, and Murray took care of him convincingly.
"And Murray is a lot better player now than he was then. Roddick's going to have to play a hell of a match to beat him."
Though Roddick has beaten Murray only twice in eight matches, the two-time finalist remained confident after his exhausting victory over Hewitt.
"Andy's been playing great and he has certainly come into his own as a player," he told BBC Sport.
"I am going to go out and play and with my serve I give myself a chance in any match."
