Amir Khan makes weight ahead of lightweight title fight against Colombia's Breidis Prescott
Amir Khan made the weight ahead of his lightweight title fight against Colombia's Breidis Prescott on Saturday.
Both fighters weighed in at nine stone seven-and-a-half pounds at the Arndale shopping centre in Manchester today.
Khan and Prescott will be fighting for the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) intercontinental lightweight crown at the MEN Arena tomorrow.
Speaking after the weigh-in, Khan's promoter Frank Warren promised an exciting evening of boxing.
"There must be 3 or 4,000 people here for the weigh-in, this proves that he [Khan] has captured the imagination," Warren said.
"I'm not getting nervous, and neither is Amir, but he [Prescott] is very confident. He fancies the job.
"You don't find many Colombians who don't come to fight. He's going to give it 100 per cent and I hear his camp have had a bet. It's a good night's boxing."
Both fighters are undefeated going into the bout - Khan has won all 18 of his professional bouts, 14 by knock-out, while Prescott has won all 19 of his fights, 17 coming via stoppages.
