O'Gara helps Munster kick off season with win at Murrayfield

Ronan O'Gara got Munster's Magners League season off to a perfect start with a 20-15 win over Edinburgh at Murrayfield.

The Ireland star kicked two penalties and two conversions for the 2003 champions after tries from Keith Earls and David Wallace.

Edinburgh, who trailed 9-17 at the break, scored five penalties through Chris Paterson.

Elsewhere, Ospreys began their campaign with a 16-3 win over Connacht at the Galway Sportsground.

The Welsh side, who led 13-0 at the break, were led to victory by a try from Tommy Bowe which was converted by James Hook who also kicked three penalties.

Connacht's only contribution came from a second half penalty from Ian Keatley.

Elsewhere, Gordon Parks scored four penalties to guide Glasgow to a 12-6 victory over Newport-Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade.

With the scores tied at 3-3 at the break, Parks scored three second half penalties to seal the win for the visitors.

The Dragons scored two penalties through James Arlidge and Shaun Connor.

Elsewhere, Llanelli Scarlets stunned Ulster with a 16-9 victory at Ravenhill.

The visitors scored a try through Darren Daniel with Stephen Jones booting over the conversion along with a penalty.

Ulster, who trailed 9-10 at the break, scored three penalties from Clinton Schifcofske.
