Luke Dorn to return to Harlequins on two-year contract next season
Versatile Castleford Tigers back Luke Dorn has been confirmed as Harlequins RL's third overseas quota player for the 2009 Super League season.
The 26-year-old Australian, who can play in the halves or at full-back, joins on a two-year contract - two years after he left the Twickenham Stoop for the Salford City Reds in 2006.
Dorn is one of the league's most prolific try-scorers - having crossed the whitewash 32 times in his 50 appearances the last time he was at Quins in 2005 and 2006.
And he is currently third in the Super League scoring charts for 2007, despite playing in a Castleford team that has been outclassed by the majority of its matches this season.
Harlequins head coach Brian McDermott said: "We are pleased that Luke has decided to re-join Harlequins RL for 2009.
"I think every one recognises him as being one of the most potent attacking players in Super League. The squad will benefit from his style of play and he is also looking forward to playing with us."
Dorn, who has 19 tries to his name so far this season, added: "I am really excited about coming back to London after two years away and I am very much looking forward to working with Brian McDermott again, and with [strength and conditioning coach] Billy Peden.
"They are two coaches who are very good at getting the best out of their players."
The signing of Dorn follows Monday's announcement that Quins have acquired fellow Australian Luke Williamson from Manly Sea Eagles.
They will both join countryman Chad Robinson in the squad for the 2009 and 2010 seasons after he agreed a deal to move from Parramatta Eels in July.
