Hamilton issues warning to Ferrari's Massa

Hamilton was delighted with a McLaren 1-2
Lewis Hamilton had a warning for Ferrari's Felipe Massa, after qualifying in pole position at the Hungarian grand prix.

Massa qualified in third position, but Hamilton warned him that there is more to come from his McLaren car.

"Felipe doesn't believe it, but I have a little bit of time in the bag still I think," Hamilton said.

"The car was great; sector one was very strong, turn four - the quick left – was fine but when I got to turn five I just locked up the right-front wheel and it pushed me on a little bit."

The 23-year-old also said that it's "about time" his McLaren team secured first and second position on the grid.

Hamilton qualified in pole position with a time of one minute 20.899 seconds, more than .02 of a second ahead of team-mate Heikki Kovalainen, and was understandably jubilant with the tenth pole position of his career.

"So far it has been a pretty decent weekend," he said.

"The team has done a good job in improving the car even from the last race, so the pace of our car is great.

"I think it is a great day to have me and Heikki to have a one-two, I think it is about time we did that for the team and we have both done a great job.

"It is very satisfying because we were quick throughout practice yesterday and also today, [the second qualifying session] looked a bit close [on the times] but I think it was just tyre depended.

"And I think we made the right [tyre] choice at the end so I'm very, very happy."
