Slaven Bilic rules himself out of running to be the next West Ham manager
Slaven Bilic has said he will remain as Croatia manager until the 2010 World Cup but admitted he would like to manage West Ham one day.
Bilic has been named as one of the favourites to take over at Upton Park after Alan Curbishley walked out on the club this week citing frustration over transfer influence.
Croatia reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2008 and will face England on Wednesday in a World Cup qualifier and Bilic maintains he will see out his contract.
"I always said West Ham will be my choice when I return to England," the former defender told Sportske Novosti.
"However, my contract with the Croatian FA expires in 2010 and I am intending to lead Croatia in this period."
A number of high-profile figures have been linked to the vacant job at West Ham, including former Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini, Gerard Houllier, Gianfranco Zola and Paolo di Canio.
