Spain and Italy became the latest two teams to qualify for the knockout stages of Euro 2012, following another tense evening in Poland.
The defending champions secured their place in the quarter-finals with a 1-0 victory over Croatia in Gdansk last night (June 18th).
Substitute Jesus Navas netted the only goal of the game, as he finished off a neat move involving Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta.
Meanwhile, Italy overcame the Republic of Ireland 2-0 in Poznan, with Antonio Cassano and Manchester City's Mario Balotelli getting on the score sheet.
Spain topped Group C with seven points and they will face the runner up from Group D in the quarter-finals, which contains England.
The Three Lions face Ukraine tonight knowing that a point will be enough to see them through to the latter stages, but they may need to win emphatically in order to avoid Spain in the next round. In the group's other game, leaders France will play Sweden, who are yet to record a single point.
