Polish goal hero Robert Lewandowski has refused to confirm or deny the suggestion by his national coach that he is joining Manchester United next season.

Poland boss Franciszek Smuda claimed yesterday that his player would be hooking up with the likes of Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford next season but so far the man himself is remaining tight lipped.

"I'm not going to concentrate on these issues. Euro 2012 is the priority," he said.

The Borussia Dortmund striker underlined his credentials by scoring the opening goal of the European championships yesterday against Greece, having banged in 30 for his club prior to the start of the tournament.

Alex Ferguson has been very active in the transfer market already this summer having just struck a deal with the German club for Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa.

According to the Sun, the Scot has also made a £25 million move for Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric, who is currently representing Croatia at Euro 2012, and

is lining up a move for Everton defender Leighton Baines.

Furthermore, Manchester United are also reported to have agreed a £3 million deal to sign teenage Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez.
