The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has said that the band has met recently for "a couple of rehearsals" as they mark the 50th anniversary of their formation.
Rumours have been circulating of a tour to celebrate the band's golden anniversary in recent years.
However, Richards said that while he thinks it will happen in the future, nothing is set in stone just yet.
He told BBC News that the band has been toying with the idea of a global tour and having had a couple of rehearsals everything "feels so good".
They played their first gig at London's Marquee Club on July 12th 1962, while their first hit - a cover of Chuck Berry's Come On - was 12 months later.
"Sometimes it's hard work and you wonder why you're doing it, but apart from those few moments it's been an incredible adventure. There might be life in the old dog yet," he continued.
