Lead singer of the US metal band Lamb of God Randy Blythe has been arrested in Prague over the death of a fan at a gig in the country two years ago.

It is understood that Mr Blythe was detained at Prague airport last Wednesday (June 27th), which forced the band to cancel a performance the following evening.

It is alleged that the 19-year-old fan died 14 days after being pushed from the stage by Mr Blythe at a concert in 2010.

According to reports, the fan had repeatedly attempted to climb on to the stage before allegedly being pushed by Mr Blythe, which resulted in him hitting the concrete floor.

Lamb of God formed in Virginia in 1990 and received a Grammy nomination for their album Sacrament in 2007.

It is understood that the band's record label will be releasing a statement about the situation later on Monday.
