The house in which singing sensation Amy Winehouse lived and died is set to be sold.

Family members have made the tough decision to put the £2.7 million Camden property on the market.

The house was turned into a shrine in honour of the troubled songstress, who died in July last year.

Winehouse amassed a huge fanbase throughout her career thanks to her unique voice and thousands of people flocked to the north London abode in order to pay their respects when news of her death broke.

It had been suggested that the property could become a headquarters for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, but this will no longer happen.

A family spokesperson told the Sun that keeping the house empty was not practical.

"The Winehouses have decided to put the house on the market, with great regret. Amy loved that house but none of the family felt it appropriate that they should live in it," they were quoted as saying.
