Former Celtic player Neil Lennon was injured after being assaulted
The former Celtic player Neil Lennon was injured after being assaulted in the west end of Glasgow yesterday.
Strathclyde police confirmed the 37-year-old received treatment for minor injuries following an incident after the game between Rangers and Celtic on Sunday.
Officers were called to Ashton Lane at around 00:25 BST and the Celtic coach was taken to hospital to receive treatment before being released.
A police spokesman said Lennon did not want to make a complaint but said that inquiries are still ongoing.
Rangers beat Celtic 4-2 yesterday in the first Old Firm clash of the season.
