At least 18 people have been killed in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad
At least 18 people have been killed in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad after two bombs exploded during the morning rush hour.
Local officials report at least 13 people died when a roadside bomb struck a minibus carrying female employees from the trade ministry.
In the second attack, a female suicide killed at least five people and injured a dozen more when she blew up a checkpoint leading into Baghdad's Green Zone, which houses the country's parliament.
Among those killed were two Iraqi soldiers, the US military claims.
The general level of violence in Iraq has fallen over the last year but over the last couple of weeks there have been a number of bomb attacks in the capital and other cities.
