Likelihood of a trip to the Oscars
This is definitely a movie for a teen audience and although it will make it big, following the success of High School Musical, it hasn't got what it takes to hit the Oscars.
So is it any good?
Sitting surrounded by a sea of screaming teenage girls and their parents, it is clear that this movie was definitely not aimed at my audience. But if you dig under all the cheese and pink glitz that this movie shovels out by the ton, Disney has lived up to their true values with a message that is relevant to any generation in this modern world.
Like many young girls Miley Stewart battles with who she is and what she wants to be while she tries to balance her secret stardom with her everyday life. The emotional rollercoaster sees her hurting those closest to her and pushing away those trying to be. But like with any Disney movie, it has a happy ending that shows that anything is possible, though this is not to say that there aren't a few bumps along the way.
Unlike High School Musical, Hannah Montana only appeals to a teenage girl audience and lacks that something that will see it achieve the same level of international phenomenon that saw the world go crazy for it.
The acting is of the standard of any Disney Channel movie that we have seen hit the big screen over the past few years with more cheesy pop songs from Miley Cyrus' album Break Out and even with the strong message of believing in yourself and celebrity appearances from Taylor Swift and Tyra Banks, Hannah Montana is only going to be one of those fads in a teenage girl's life that will soon start to collect dust with the Barbies and dolls they used to play with.

"I saw the movie today and loved it. It's definitely differnet than the series and the movie shows Hannah more grown up, which is nice. There were all types of age groups where I was from 7-17. I am 14 and my mum and dad watched the movie and liked it as well. I will definitely buy it when it comes out on DVD. So overall go see the movie if you want something different from the movie!!!!! 5*" - Kerry I-L
"I saw the movie and it was really good. I'd like to go see it again. Miley is a cutey. I just hope she won't be like Britney Spears or Lindsay. I just hope she don't lose the sight of who she really is. I'm a kentuckian. I hear that Billy is from Kentucky." - Michelle Burgess.
